Felt Food

Felt Food: Remembering Family Through Play

It began innocently enough: hand stitched felt fruit for my toddler to play with to aid in his speech development.

But simple developmental toy making turned into serious cross training, three-dimensional “painting” using wool, for my other artistic pursuit – painting.

Felt Food represents love and comfort associated with food and cherished loved ones: a grandfather, grandmother, and a father.
